Welcome

Selamat Datang and a warm welcome to the Electrical Engineering Capstone Showcase 2018 (EECS2018) organized by the School of Electrical Engineering (SKE), Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor Bahru. EECS2018 is aimed at inculcating final year undergraduate students with both academic skills as well as generic skills in developing, prototyping, and presenting their community/industrial based project. All their efforts will be evaluated by both the academic and industry panels during this one-day event. Those projects that satisfy and fulfill certain criteria will be awarded with the best project.

In this year event, there are about 75 final products will be demonstrated in EECS 2018. These products are from 4 different tracks i.e. Electronics and Computer Engineering, Power Engineering, Communication, and Control and Mechatronics Engineering. They are divided into 18 different themes. It is hoped that this event will serve as a “bridging the gap” between students and industries.

Finally, on behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to thank all parties that have contributed towards the success of this event. These include the Chair of SKE, academic staff and industries personnel who served as internal and external evaluators, SKE supporting staff and student volunteers for assisting the committee during the event. I would also like to express our utmost gratitude to Micron Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd, Collaborative Research in Engineering, Science and Technology (CREST), Flextronics Technology Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PTP) and DF Automation and Robotics Sdn.
